Teacher Effectiveness: Supporting Educator Effectiveness (Instructional Staff)

Teacher Effectiveness: Supporting Educator Effectiveness (Instructional Staff)

THIS COURSE IS GEARED SPECIFICALLY TOWARDS TEACHERS.

The research supports that well-executed classroom observations do identify effective teachers and teaching practices.  What are you doing to ensure that instructional staff are prepared to focus on what students should know and be able to do to improve student learning in the classroom?  Engaging educators in conversations about their practice, as well as providing support and feedback builds the capacity to impact the quality of teaching.

During the Institute, participants will:

  • Identify strategies that will address time management challenges associated with instruction.
  • Utilize strategies to develop a deeper understanding of the teaching standards leading to improved instruction and student learning. (unpacking standards)
  • Investigate the shift from “teacher quality” to quality of teaching by focusing on student learning.

Lunch is not included in the cost of the course.
